Gophers Finish Third at Stevenson
UPPERCO, Md. - The Goucher College men's golf team placed third out of nine competing teams at the Stevenson Fall Invitational Thursday at Piney Branch Golf Course. As a team the Gophers finished at 316, 24 shots behind the host Mustangs who won the tournament at 292.
First-year Tyler Lynch led the Gophers with a +5 76 to finish tied for 10th overall. Classmate Riley Ruby carded a 77 to finish in a tie for 12th place. Gidi Katz, competing as an individual, finished at 78 and was tied for 17th.
Khai Buttner fired an 80, while Andy Hill Garcia was the final Goucher scorer with a round of 83. Mikolaj Pula posted a loop of 85.
The Goucher men's golf team closes out the fall October 21-22 at the Landmark Conference Preview at Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort in Shawnee on Delaware, Pa.
