Gophers Rally Past Wilkes for Road Win

EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. - Trailing 4-2 at halftime, Goucher College clamped down and outscored Wilkes University 8-1 in the second half en route to a 10-5 Landmark Conference men's lacrosse victory Saturday afternoon at Schmidt Stadium.
- Goucher (7-5, 1-3 Landmark) got on the board 39 seconds into the game on a Theo Cook IV goal.
- Wilkes (4-7, 1-3) scored twice to take a 2-1 lead with just under nine minutes left.
- Jacob Morgan tied the game with an unassisted goal with 3:31 on the clock.
- The Colonels scored at 11:28 and 9:57 while holding the Gophers scoreless to take a 4-2 lead into halftime.
- The Gophers outshot Wilkes 14-11 in the frame, but the Colonels made four saves.
- Goucher outscored Wilkes 6-0 in the third quarter as it scored of six of its nine shots in the period.
- Morgan started the scoring at the 10:11 mark.
