Gophers Close Out With Win on Senior Day

TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College scored the game's final four goals as it rallied past Lycoming College for a 14-11 Landmark Conference men's lacrosse victory on Senior Day at Beldon Field.
- Lycoming (5-9, 2-7 Landmark) jumped out to a 3-0 lead just over 10 minutes into the game.
- Goucher (9-8, 3-6) got on the board with 2:12 left in the first on a goal by Jacob Morgan.
- The Warriors scored a man-up goal with just under a minute left to lead 4-1 after the first quarter.
- Jack McDermott cut the lead to 4-2 2:39 into the second.
- The two teams traded goals with Holden Vance scoring at the 11:03 mark to make it 5-3.
- Trailing 6-3, the Gophers scored four goals in the final 7:46 to take a 7-6 lead into halftime.
- Tyler May scored two goals back-to-back at 7:46 and 6:19.
- Sean Nolan scored a man-up tally with 3:48 left to tie the game 6-6.
- A Morgan goal with 1:37 to go put Goucher in front for the first time on the day.
- McDermott scored 18 seconds into the second half to put Goucher up 8-6.
- After a Warrior goal, McDermott scored again with 11:14 on the clock to make it 9-7.
- Lycoming reeled off three straight goals in a span of 2:47 to go up 10-9 with 6:05 remaining.

- Before the game, the Gophers honored seniors Nolan, Theo Cook IV, Ethan Pratt, Declan Watkins and Dylan White.
- McDermott led Goucher with five goals, while May finished with three goals and a pair of assists.
- Morgan added three goals and an assist and has now scored in 23 straight games, including all 15 games he played in this season.
- Morgan's 61 points this season are the most by a Goucher player since Goucher Hall of Fame member Kyle Boncaro finished with 86 in 2012.
- Vance notched two goals and an assist.
- Goucher held a 45-43 edge in shots and won 16 of the game's 28 faceoffs.
- Jack Smith made eight saves in goal for the Gophers, with Aaron Butera going 14-24 at the faceoff dot.
- Nolan finished with a pair of caused turnovers, giving him 99 for his career. That mark is tied for fourth in program history with Bryce Carson, who had 99 from 2010-13.
