SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Julien Greco (Shutesbury,
MA/St. George's School), a senior forward on Goucher's
men's soccer team, was named to the ESPN The Magazine 2009
Academic All-District II College Division Men's Soccer Team
today.
Greco was a second-team selection for the district which covers
Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and
Washington D.C.
The team is chosen by members of the College Sports Information
Directors of America. CoSIDA founded its Academic All-America
program in 1952 to recognize and award the premier college
scholar-athletes throughout the nation for their ability to achieve
excellence on the playing field and in the classroom.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important
reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a
4.0 scale) for his/her career. No athlete is eligible until he/she

ineligible transfers are not eligible).

2009, currently carries a 3.79 GPA. He is an international
relations major with a minor in Spanish. He was also a second-team
selection on the ESPN The Magazine 2007 Academic
