honorable mentions on the 2009 National Soccer Coaches Association
of America College Men Scholar All-East Region Team that was
released today by the NSCAA, the largest coaches' organization in
the United States.
The NSCAA's Scholar All-America program recognizes juniors and seniors with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 who are significant contributors to their teams and appeared in at least half of the games from the recently completed season. The selection committee reviews both academic and athletic accomplishments of the nominees.
The players from Goucher who were named all-region honorable mentions are senior forward Julien Greco (Shutesbury, Mass./St. George's School), senior midfielder Galen Guindon (Wallingford, Pa./Friends Central) and senior goalkeeper Justin Holbrook (Claymont, Del./Wilmington Friends School).
All three were also NSCAA Scholar All-East honorable mentions as juniors in 2008.
