This time it was Randolph pulling out the narrow 1-0 victory at the Jimmy Mills Tournament thanks to a golden goal in the 107th minute.
The unassisted goal Nick Cornell scored at 106:06 came on Randolph's 23rd shot of the game. It was the sophomore midfielder's fourth goal of the 2011 campaign.
Steve Baum (Fallston, Md./Fallston) got the start in goal for the Gophers, the first of his career. He made three saves in the first half, including one on a penalty kick attempted by Jacob Lusczek with 3:25 remaining before halftime.
Although the WildCats (5-0) got off 10 shots in the second half and the first 10-minute overtime period, none were on goal. Baum made his fourth save of the contest on a shot by Will Wolf less than a minute before Cornell delivered the game-winning goal.
The Gophers (1-4) were limited to two shots.
