Gophers Never Able to Dig Way Out of Early 3-0 Hole
SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Goucher surrendered three goals in the opening 16:08 of today's Landmark Confernce game against Susquehanna, but the Gophers managed to minimize the damage the rest of the first half and still trailed just 3-0 after 45 minutes.

El-Khoury, Weiner Hook Up on Goucher's Only Goal
SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Goucher surrendered three goals in the opening 16:08 of today's Landmark Confernce game against Susquehanna, but the Gophers managed to minimze the damage the rest of the first half and still trailed just 3-0 after 45 minutes.
The Crusaders, however, tacked on a fourth goal just 53 seconds into the second half and went on to record a 5-1 victory.
The Gophers (3-8-1, 1-4 Landmark) avoided being shut out when Brandon Weiner (Derwood, Md./Col. Zadok A. Magruder) tallied his second goal of the 2012 campaign following a corner kick in the 82nd minute. George El-Khoury (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) set up the goal and was awarded his second assist of the season.
An unassisted goal by Susquehanna's Andrew Hayes with 1:43 remaining closed out the scoring.
The Crusaders (11-2, 3-1 Landmark) took a 1-0 lead at 4:57 on a goal by Andrew Murphy and a 2-0 advantage at 12:33 on a goal by Patrick Fry. John Arnold made the score 3-0 in Susquehanna's favor early in the 17th minute when he knocked in a pass from Daniel Sosa from the far side of the field.
Sosa also picked up an assist on Murphy's goal that put the Crusaders on the scoreboard for the first time.
Susquehanna's fourth goal was scored by David Trank.
The Crusaders, who share second place in the Landmark with Catholic, outshot the Gophers, 19-6.
