Gophers Sweep Landmark Men's Soccer Weekly Honors
TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College men's soccer team swept this week's Landmark Conference weekly awards, as sophomore Jeremiah Odubade (Capital Heights, Md. / Fairmont Heights) was named the Offensive Athlete of the Week, while classmate Jeff Castro (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township) was selected as the Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Odubade totaled two goals and an assist as the Gophers blanked Moravian 3-0 for their first Landmark Conference win of the season on Saturday. Odubade assisted on the game's first goal, then scored in the 21st and 76th minutes for his sixth and seventh goals of the season. He then recorded three saves in the shutout of the Greyhounds, his third clean sheet of the season. Castro has played every minute in goal for Goucher this season, posting a 1.92 goals-against average and .707 save percentage.
