Odubade Named First Team All-Conference, Kazim Nakhid Selected to Second Team
TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College men's soccer sophomore Jeremiah Odubade (Capital Heights, Md. / Fairmont Heights) and senior Ali Kazim Nakhid (Beirut, Lebanon/UMBC) were each honored as the Landmark Conference released its men's soccer All-Conference teams Wednesday morning. Odubade was named to the First Team, while Kazim Nakhid was a Second Team selection.
Odubade becomes the second Goucher player to earn Landmark Conference First Team honors since the Gophers joined the conference in 2007, with Brandon Weiner earning the honor in 2007. Odubade finished the season with 11 goals and three assists for 25 points, as he currently leads the conference in both goals and points. He recorded a pair of game-winning goals on the season and had a pair of multi-goal performances. Odubade's 11 goals are the most by a Gopher since Chris Walton had 13 goals in the 1996 season.
Kazim Nakhid played in 17 games and was in the starting lineup 15 times, totaling three goals and seven assists for 13 points, with his seven assists leading the Landmark Conference. He totaled a goal and two assists in a 4-3 win over Hood and recorded a goal and an assist in a win against Penn State Berks.
Goucher recorded its highest victory total since 2017 this past season.
