TOWSON, Md. - Visiting Moravian University scored a goal in each half as it picked up a 2-0 Landmark Conference men's soccer victory over Goucher College Tuesday evening at Beldon Field.
- Goucher's (6-3-1, 1-2 Landmark) Adrian Mubiru had the first shot of the game that went high just over four minutes in.
- A shot by Moravian's (3-3-4, 1-1-1) Hunter Shay in the eighth minute was saved by Gopher goalie Ale Sternini.
- Sternini recorded another save nine minutes into the contest.
- The Greyhounds scored with 1:45 remaining in the half on a restart. A ball was sent in from the right of the box by Dan Ingersoll, which glanced off a Goucher defender before Aidan Costa headed it home for the lead.
- Goucher generated a pair of corner kicks in the opening minutes of the second half.
- Bobby Beringer sent a shot wide for the Gophers with 17 minutes to play.
- Moravian made it 2-0 with just over 15 minutes left, as a right-to-left corner kick by Hunter Shay was headed in by Donald Gibbs.
- Jeremiah Odubade had a deep shot on target two minutes later that was handled by Greyohund keeper Andrew Remias.
- Sternini made two more saves in the game's final six minutes.
- Moravian held a 12-5 shot advantage, while Goucher took nine corner kicks to the Greyhounds' four.
- Sternini made four saves for the Gophers, while Remias made one save en route to the shutout.
- Mubiru and Odubade each had two shots for Goucher.
- Moravian snapped a two-match Gopher win streak in the series.
