TOWSON, Md. — David Spivey (Cockeysville, Md./The Park School), who never played lower than No. 2 in Goucher's singles lineup during his four seasons with the Gophers, today was named the 2014 Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Senior Scholar Athlete.

Gophers Finish with Most Victories Since 2004-05
ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. — Goucher brought the curtain down on its 2013-14 campaign today by pinning a 6-3 setback on Elizabethtown. It was the fourth win for head coach Brendan Kincaid's netters in the final five matches of the season.

Spivey, Hoesman Win for 11th Time at No. 1 Doubles
TOWSON, Md. — The only senior on Goucher's 2013-14 roster defeated his opponent at No. 2 singles in straight sets and he and his partner were also victorious at first doubles, earning two points that helped the Gophers turn back Hood, 8-1.

Gophers Defeat Crusaders for First Time Since 2008-09
SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Goucher earned its first victory over Susquehanna since the 2008-09 season today, winning all three doubles matches and four of the six singles matches to pin a 7-2 setback on the Crusaders.

Fujitani Gains 12th Win, Clinches Victory Over Mariners
KINGS POINT, N.Y. — Not only did Midori Fujitani pick up his team-leading 12th singles win of the season this afternoon, but the freshman's 6-3, 7-5 triumph over Geri Villan from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at No. 3 also gave Goucher the point it needed to clinch its first Landmark Conference victory of the season.

WASHINGTON — Goucher faced off against a Catholic squad this afternoon which had dropped only one match during a stretch of three straight Landmark Conference victories, and the Gophers were unable to slow that momentum as the Cardinals came away with a 9-0 victory.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher, which trailed 2-1 at the conclusion of doubles play, took a 4-2 lead in this afternoon's Landmark Conference match against Drew when Midori Fujitani (Tokyo, Japan/International School Bangkok) battled back from being down a set to defeat Vin Mahon at No. 3 singles.

Doubles Defeats Cost Goucher in Loss to Scranton
TOWSON, Md. — Goucher and Scranton began their Landmark Conference match this afternoon with a trio of tight doubles matches. Unfortunately for the Gophers, all three of those contests went to the Royals, and that would ultimately make the difference in a 6-3 victory for Scranton.

Goucher Ends Spring Break Trip with Pair of Defeats
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Goucher concluded its participation in the Spring Tennis Fest today with a pair of defeats to Springfield and Carroll (Wisc.). The Gophers (4-8) dropped a 6-3 decision to Springfield to begin the day before falling 8-1 to Carroll in the afternoon.
