Brendan Kincaid, a former ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year and the reigning Landmark Conference Coach of the Year, enters his fifth season as the head coach of the Goucher men’s tennis squad.

Since taking over the program in 2012-13, Kincaid has turned the Goucher College men's tennis team into a perennial powerhouse in the Landmark Conference. The Gophers have made three consecutive appearances to the Landmark Conference finals, winning in 2016 and 2017. In 2016, Goucher moved through the NCAA First Round, defeating Yeshiva 5-2 before being knocked out by #5 Carnegie Mellon. 

During the 2017 campaign, the Gophers took on John Carroll in the NCAA First Round, taking a 5-1 loss. 

With Kincaid at the helm, Goucher is 62-48 (.620), the best five-year stretch in program history. He has placed seven separate players on the All-Landmark Conference team in 29 different instances. In 2017, the Gophers claimed seven spots on the All-Landmark team - tied for the most in the conference. Kincaid and his teams have also made is a perennial habit to bombard the record book. Since the start of his time at Goucher, the Gophers have set 11 new school records including most singles wins in program history, most doubles wins in program history, and team doubles wins in program history.

In five years Kincaid has taken a program from the bottom of the conference to defending the top spot.  Through his short career the Gophers he has become the all-time winningest coach in Goucher Men’s tennis history with an overall record of 62-48. The 2008 graduate of Salisbury University made an immediate impact on Goucher's program upon his arrival as in his first season increasing the Gophers win totals in each year of his first 5 years with the program.

Prior to arriving at Goucher, Kincaid served as an assistant coach for three years for both the men’s and women’s tennis programs at his alma mater Salisbury University. During his time with the Sea Gulls, Kincaid coached two Division III All-Americans, two nationally-ranked teams, and three nationally-ranked players. He received his ITA national assistant coach award after the 2009-10 season when the Salisbury men finished as the 19th-ranked team in the country with a 14-7 record and the women completed a 13-3 season and finished with a National ranking of #30

As a player for the Sea Gulls, Kincaid was named a 1^st team All-American in his senior season after going 20-5 in singles. He ended that year ranked in the top 20 in the country in both singles and doubles, and the ITA recognized him as the Senior Player of the Year in the Atlantic South Region.  He was also one of 4 finalists for the national senior player of the year in 2008.  Kincaid was nationally ranked 3 of his 4 years at Salisbury and was the conference rookie of the year.  Kincaid earned all-conference selections in doubles and singles 3 of his 4 years with the Seagulls.  In 2014 Kincaid was honored by the Capital Athletic Conference, being named to the Silver anniversary team which honored the top 25 players over the last 25 years of the CAC.  

When he graduated, he was the program's all-time leader in singles and doubles wins at Salisbury, accumulating a combined total of more than 100 victories during his career.

Kincaid was a dual sport athlete at Salisbury playing football as well as tennis.  As a football player, he was a two-time all-conference performer and was named 1^stteam all-region as a senior.
