Men's And Women's Swimming Teams Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams For Spring Semester
BALTIMORE, Md. – The Goucher College men's and women's swimming teams have been named a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for the spring 2021 semester. The Gopher men's swimming team boasted a 3.16 grade-point average, and the Blue and Gold women's swimmers registered a 3.63 grade-point average for the spring semester.
"Our swim teams made the best out of this year being remote with courses," said swimming head coach Tom Till. "Those able to come to campus for the last seven weeks helped open the path for this fall season. I am looking forward to seeing the team for the first time in almost two years, which will continue this type of commitment in the pool and the classroom."
Selections were made on the basis of the student-athletes spring grade point average, and represented 17,982 from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and NJCAA. The Scholar All-American team includes 721 teams from 424 institutions.
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
