Gophers Swim at Drew in Final Road Meet of Season, Robinson Takes Three Seconds
MADISON, N.J. - The Goucher College men's and women's swim teams swam against Drew University at F.M. Kirby Pool Saturday afternoon. The Rangers swept the Gophers, with the women prevailing 203-48 and the men winning 207-25.
For the Goucher women, sophomore Ella Robinson (Canajoharie, N.Y./Canajoharie) took three second place finishes on the afternoon. She took second in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.17), 50 freestyle (26.60) and 200 breaststroke (2:38.43).
Kelci Wood (Spencer, Ind./Owen Valley) placed third in the 50 free (26.92) and in the 200 backstroke (2:34.83).
Kan Jarvis (Baltimore, Md./Jemicy School) finished fourth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:13.56.
For the Gopher men, Liam McDonald (Cary, N.C./St. Francis) finished third in the 100 freestyle (1:05.10), with Richie Bialik (New City, N.Y./Clarkstown) was fifth in the 50 free with a time of 26.18 seconds.
Goucher closes out the regular season next Saturday, January 28 when it hosts Gallaudet for Senior Day at the von Borries Aquatic Center. Meet time is slated for 1:00 pm.
