Swimming Wraps Up at Landmark Championships
BOYDS, Md. - The Goucher College men's and women's swimming teams wrapped up competition at the 2023 Landmark Conference Swimming and Diving Championships on Sunday at the Germantown Aquatic Center. Both Gopher teams finished in sixth place, with the women compiling 151 points and the men 141.
For the women, Ella Robinson (Canajoharie, N.Y./Canajoharie) qualified for the A final in the 200 breaststroke and finished eighth with a time of 2:34.45.
Ben Graff (Baltimore, Md./Friends School) qualified for the B final in the men's 200 butterfly and placed 12th overall with a mark of 2:13.48. Richie Bialik (New City, N.Y./Clarkstown) was in the B final in the men's 200 backstroke with a 2:24.57 effort.
Both 400 freestyle relay teams finished sixth overall. The women swam a time of 3:53.90, with a relay squad consisting of Robinson, Olivia Reichardt (Monument, Colo./Palmer), Avery McEachern (Cincinnati, Ohio/Summit Country Day) and Kelci Wood (Spencer, Ind./Owen Valley).
The men's relay was made up of Bialik, Graff, Christian Houck (Bel Air, Md./Harford Tech) and Liam McDonald (Cary, N.C./St. Francis).
