Ella Robinson Named CSC Women's Swimming Academic All-District
TOWSON, Md. - Sophomore Ella Robinson (Canajoharie, N.Y./Canajoharie) of the Goucher College women's swimming team has been selected to the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District® Team for 2022-23.
The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid March. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed in the linked release at the top of the page.
Robinson, a Literary Studies major minoring in Education, has been the Gophers' top swimmer over her first two seasons. This season, she reached the A final in the 200 yard breaststroke and placed eighth at the Landmark Conference Championships, while also reaching the B final in the 100 breaststroke, placing 11th. As a first year in 2022, she finished eighth in the conference in the A final in the 100 breaststroke and tied for seventh in the A final in the 200 breaststroke.
