Men Seventh, Women Eighth at Landmark Swim Championships
BALTIMORE - The Goucher College men and women's swimming teams wrapped up competition at the 2024 Landmark Conference Swimming and Diving Championships on Sunday at Loyola University Maryland's Mangione Aquatic Center. The Gopher men placed seventh with 104 points, while the women finished eighth, racking up 149 points.
Junior Ella Robinson reached her second A final of the championship, qualifying for the women's 200-yard breaststroke. Robinson swam a time of 2:31.42 in the prelims, then placed eighth in the finals with a time of 2:31.58.
Sophomore Kan Jarvis reached the B final in the women's 200 butterfly. After recording the ninth-fastest time in the preliminaries (2:29.49), Jarvis swam a 2:29.31 in the finals to place 10th overall.
The women's 400 freestyle relay of Darcy McFarland, Robinson, Jarvis and Emily Strickland finished ninth with a time of 4:03.62.
Sophomore Ben Graff qualified for his second B final on Sunday, reaching the men's 200 backstroke finals. He swam 2:10.08 in the prelims and placed 13th overall in the final with a time of 2:08.25.
The men's 400 freestyle relay came in seventh, with Quincy Barnes, James Piland, Graff and Noah Moudarres posting a time of 4:22.06.
