Gopher Men Nab Five All-Conference Slots at Landmark Indoor Championships
TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College men's indoor track and field team garnered a total of five spots on the Landmark Conference All-Conference teams by virtue of their performances on Saturday at the Landmark Indoor Track and Field Championships at Susquehanna University.
Senior Sean Whitfield placed second in the men's 800 meter run and earned Second Team All-Conference after posting a program-record time of 1:56.31. First year Jaylin Briston was also named to the Second Team as he placed second in the long jump, matching the Goucher program record with a 6.84-meter leap.
Sophomore Mark Martin was named Honorable Mention All-Conference after he placed third in the triple jump with a school-record 13.70-meter hop, skip and jump. First year KeMarco Monger was also Honorable Mention All-Conference after finishing third in the men's 400 with a time of 52.34 seconds.
The men's 4x400 relay placed third to nab Honorable Mention status, running a school-record 3:30.39. The relay consisted of Briston, Pani Marousis, Monger and Whitfield.
