Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw Named First Team All-Landmark After 800 Repeat
TOWSON, Md. - After winning the Landmark Conference women's 800-meter run at the 2024 Landmark Indoor Track and Field Championships for the second straight year on Saturday, Goucher College sophomore Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw was named First Team All-Conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Thornton-Fillyaw won her second straight women's 800 indoor title with a school and conference record time of 2:11.51. Her time is currently No. 3 in NCAA Division III. Thornton-Fillyaw was also the conference's 800-meter outdoor champion last spring.
Thornton-Fillyaw is all but assured of competing at the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 8-9 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It would mark the third time that she has qualified for NCAA nationals.
