Track and Field Set to Take On Landmark Championships This Weekend

TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are set to compete at the 2024 Landmark Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday hosted by Elizabethtown College at Etown's track and field facility.
On Saturday, field events begin at 11 am, with track events commencing at 4 pm. On Sunday, field events kick off at 11 am, with action on the track starting at noon.
Tickets must be purchased digitally using HomeTown Ticketing as there will be no cash sales on site. Additionally, tickets must be purchased for each day, Saturday and Sunday. No weekend passes are available. Parents and fans are encouraged to buy their tickets ahead of time to avoid waiting in lines at the facility. A QR code will be provided to purchase tickets on-site, if needed. A link for tickets is provided at the top of this release.

The Gopher men were picked tied for fifth in the Landmark pre-championship poll, while the women were selected seventh. At February's Landmark indoor track and field championship, sophomore Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw won her second straight women's 800-meter title. For the men, senior Sean Whitfield placed second in the men's 800, while first year Jaylin Briston took second in the men's long jump.
