- Goucher kept chipping away and a Smith triple with 4:28 left made it a 50-42 game.
- After the Mustangs got the lead back to 13, six straight Gopher points capped by a Claire Flynn (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) three made it 55-48.

- After a Goucher turnover, a Stevenson three-point play with 42 seconds to go put the hosts up 77-72.
- GVahn Pace (Akron, Ohio/East) sank a free throw to make it 77-73, but a steal and layup for the Mustangs made it 79-73 with 22 seconds to go.

- Smith finished 16-33 from the floor, knocking down five three-pointers, and finished 6-8 from the free throw line. She also grabbed 10 rebounds and added three steals, two blocks and two assists.

- Her 43 points are the second-highest single-game total in NCAA Division III this season and also a Landmark Conference single-game record, surpassing the 37 points scored twice, most recently in 2019.
- Nwuli also recorded a double-double, posting 11 points and 13 rebounds, career highs in both categories. Smith finished 5-9 from the floor.
