Kyla Smith Named Landmark Second Team All-Conference
TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College women's basketball graduate student guard Kyla Smith (Easton, Pa./Easton) was named to the Landmark Conference All-Conference team as a Second Team selection, it was announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon. Smith becomes the first Gopher to earn All-Conference honors since 2019 and the seventh in program history.
Smith started all 24 games in which she appeared in this season and was the Landmark Conference's leading scorer, averaging 19.4 points per game, while also registering 5.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game. She reached double figures in scoring in all but one game and scored at least 20 points on nine occasions. Smith scored a career-best 43 points against Stevenson on November 16, just two points shy of Goucher's NCAA-era single-game scoring record and tied for the sixth-highest single game scoring total in NCAA Division III this season. She led the Gophers in scoring on 18 occasions.
Smith also led the conference in minutes per game (34.5) and her 52 three-pointers ranked No. 3 in the Landmark.
