TOWSON, Md. - No. 10 Catholic University clinched at least a share of the Landmark Conference regular season women's basketball title as it eased past Goucher College 93-25 at the Decker Sports and Recreation Center Wednesday evening.
The Cardinals (23-1, 16-1 Landmark) led 23-2 after one quarter and carried a 49-12 halftime lead into the locker room.
Goucher (1-23, 1-16) was led by Merci Turner's eight points, while Savannah Holmes registered six. Briyah Haggins and Zion McCoy each registered nine rebounds.
Catholic was led by Carly Mulvaney with 13 points as 14 of the 17 players who saw action for the Cardinals scored.
Goucher closes out its season Saturday when it travels to Wilkes University for a 4 pm Landmark Conference contest.
