TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College women's golf team is set to compete in the 2023 Landmark Conference Women's Golf Championship this Sunday and Monday, April 23-24. This year's championship, hosted by the University of Scranton, will take place at Glenmaura National Golf Club in Moosic, Pennsylvania.
Drew is the defending Landmark Conference champion. Catholic bested Goucher by 11 shots in 2021, while Drew also won in 2019 and 2020. Then-associate member Marywood won the inaugural Landmark women's golf championship in 2018.
Gopher first year Iseline Schenk (Bergen, Netherlands / Murmellius Gymnasuim) leads Goucher with her 87.57 stroke average over 14 rounds. She set a single-round program record with an 81 in the second round of the Cardinal Spring Classic on March 26, while Schenk has recorded seven top-10 finishes in nine events this season. Her current scoring average would set a program record for best scoring average.
Classmate Keeli Satterfield (Portland, Oregon / Valley Catholic) has posted a pair of top-10 finishes in 2022-23 and has a 97.9 scoring average. Her best round of 86 came at the Cardinal Spring Classic, also in the second round.
Senior Grace Klain (Yerrington, Nev./Nevada Connections Academy) and sophomores Maddie Agrusti (Elkridge, Md./Howard) and Molly Smith (Damascus, Md./Damascus) are also expected to compete for Goucher, which finished fifth last season.
