CHESTER, PA — Goucher was limited to only two shots
on goal today in a 7-0 loss to Widener.
Five different players scored goals in the first half for the
Pioneers (12-5-1), starting with Sarah Schaffer at 8:45. One of
Widener's two goals in the second half was a successful penalty
kick by Nicole Gutekunst at 58:03.
Alex Bauernschub (Baltimore, MD/Maryvale Prep) and
Dee Moser (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) were the
two Goucher players who got off shots in the second half, but both
were stopped by Robin Tarasevich, who replaced starter Kelli Quinn
in goal for Widener.
The Gophers (2-12-1) have now gone 470:14 without scoring a goal.
