Pride Opens Quick 3-0 Lead, Stays Unbeaten

Thanks to that early barrage, the Pride departed Beldon Field with a 4-1 victory to remain undefeated.
Matthews Makes Eight Saves in 40th Straight Start in Goal

Gartside's goal softened the blow delivered early by the Pride (7-0-1), who grabbed a 1-0 lead at 7:49 on a goal by Brittany Balentine and went ahead 2-0 when Brittany Harvis netted a goal at 9:26. Only another 5:25 ran off the clock before Widener assumed a 3-0 advantage on a goal by Caryinna Yenchak.
Sisley Pumilia (Spofford, N.H./Keene) was awarded an assist on Gartside's goal at 34:58.
The Pride managed to score only once in the second half as they were limited to six shots. Balentine's second goal of the game ana fifth of the season at 59:08 made the score 4-1.
Kellen Matthews (Northboro, Mass./Algonquin Regional), the starting goalkeeper for Goucher for the 40th consecutive game, finished with eight saves.
