Pumilia Earns Spot on NSCAA Division III All-Region Team

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Another postseason honor was bestowed on Goucher's Sisley Pumilia (Spofford, N.H./Keene) when the National Soccer Coaches Association of America placed the senior midfielder on its 2010 NSCAA/Performance Subaru Division III Women All-Mid-Atlantic Region Team.

Landmark Conference Issues Fall Academic Honor Roll

MADISON, N.J. — The Landmark Conference, which is in its fourth year of competition and is comprised of eight like-minded institutions in the mid-Atlantic region, today recognized 273 student-athletes for their academic accomplishments by placing them on the on the 2010 Fall Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll. Twenty-nine of the honorees are from Goucher.

Goucher Lands Senior, Sophomore on All-Landmark Team

MADISON, N.J. — Senior midfielder Sisley Pumilia (Spofford, N.H./Keene), one of the all-time leading scorers in the history of the Goucher women's soccer program, and sophomore forward Shay Kettner (Baltimore, Md./Perry Hall), who supplied the Gophers with team-high totals of 10 goals and four assists this season, are both members of the 2010 All-Landmark Conference Women's Soccer Team.

Gophers Take Down Defending Landmark Champions

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Kellen Matthews (Northboro, Mass./Algonquin Regional) demonstrated today why any conversation about the top goalkeepers in the history of Goucher's women's soccer program have to include her by turning in an 11-save performance in leading the Gophers to a 2-0 triumph over Catholic. The victory was their first over the Cardinals in seven years and it kept head coach Tati Korba's squad in contention for a berth in the Landmark Conference playoffs.

SELINSGROVE, Pa. — It wasn't until Julie Briskey's unassisted goal off a direct kick in the 57th minute that Goucher fell behind in its Landmark Conference game against Susquehanna today. But the Gophers surrendered another goal in the 59th minute that enabled the Crusaders to record a 2-0 victory.

TOWSON, Md. — On the day that senior Kellen Matthews (Northboro, Mass./Algonquin Regional) became the first goalkeeper in the history of Goucher's women's soccer program to reach 500 career saves, the Gophers held a 1-0 lead over Drew for more than 18 minutes.

Gophers Never Let Up Against Crimson Eagles

TOWSON, Md. — Sam Schlosburg (North Potomac, Md./Thomas S. Wootton) successfully converted a penalty kick just 7:19 into this afternoon's game to provide Goucher with a quick 1-0 lead over Philadelphia Biblical. The Gophers were able to tack on four additional goals and coast to their second victory of the 2010 season, a decisive 5-0 triumph over the visiting Crimson Eagles.
