Third All-Conference Selection in Pumila's Four-Year Career
MADISON, N.J. — Senior midfielder Sisley Pumilia (Spofford, N.H./Keene), one of the all-time leading scorers in the history of the Goucher women's soccer program, and sophomore forward Shay Kettner (Baltimore, Md./Perry Hall), who supplied the Gophers with team-high totals of 10 goals and four assists this season, are both members of the 2010 All-Landmark Conference Women's Soccer Team.
The team was released in its entirety today and is made up of 25 student-athletes who were chosen through balloting by the conference's seven head coaches. The selections were made by position and 12 players, including Pumilia, were placed on the All-Landmark first team and the remaining 13, including Kettner, on the second team.
Pumilia became a three-time All-Landmark selection when she was named a first-team midfielder in 2010. As a sophomore forward in 2008, she earned second-team all-conference recognition; last year she was a second-team midfielder.
Including the seven goals and three assists she contributed while starting all 16 games this season, Pumilia completed her career at Goucher ranked second all-time in goals (39) and points (93) and fourth in assists (15).
Kettner was the top goal-scorer in the Landmark Conference in 2010. During one 10-game stretch that started with a two-goal effort against Juniata on Sept. 25, she tallied at least one goal in eight of the games.
Like Pumilia, Kettner started all 16 games this season.
