Schlosburg Contributes Goal, Assist to Victory Over Eagles
HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Sam Schlosburg (North Potomac, Md./Thomas S. Wootton) picked up an assist on the goal that put Goucher ahead in today's Landmark Conference contest against Juniata and later tallied the goal that provided the final margin of victory as the Gophers prevailed 2-1.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Sam Schlosburg (North Potomac, Md./Thomas S. Wootton) picked up an assist on the goal that put Goucher ahead in today's Landmark Conference contest against Juniata and later tallied the goal that provided the final margin of victory as the Gophers prevailed 2-1.
The junior forward/midfielder fed the ball to freshman forward Sherlanda Buskey (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown), who tallied her team-leading sixth goal of the season just one second before time expired in the first half as the Gophers (5-3, 1-1 Landmark) enjoyed a 1-0 advantage after 45 minutes.
Just 5:43 into the second half, Schlosburg tacked on an unassisted goal, bumping Goucher's lead up to 2-0.
The Eagles (3-6-1, 0-1 Landmark), who finished with a 10-8 edge in shots, were able to close to within 2-1 in the 75th minute on an unassisted goal by Nikki Hankinson.
The win was Goucher's first in seven all-time meetings between the two schools in the sport of women's soccer.
