RADNOR, Pa. — The third stop on Goucher's season-opening string of four consecutive road games brought the Gophers here this evening for a non-conference contest against Cabrini. The Cavaliers, who were in search of their first win, parlayed a 19-6 advantage in shots into a 4-1 triumph.

RADNOR, Pa. — The third stop on Goucher's season-opening string of four consecutive road games brought the Gophers here this evening for a non-conference contest against Cabrini. The Cavaliers, who were in search of their first win, parlayed a 19-6 advantage in shots into a 4-1 triumph.
The game was less than a minute old when Dana Peterson scored to put the home team up 1-0. The Gophers (1-2) caught a break midway through the first half, tying the score at 1-1 thanks to an own goal.
The Cavaliers (1-0-2) went ahead to stay on a goal by Jessica Breuning in the 36th minute.
Gabby Meck, who picked up an assist on Peterson's goal, notched a pair of her own in the second half, one at 54:45 and the second at 60:21.
Marissa Jenkins, who played in goal into the 85th minute for Cabrini, picked up the first of her three saves when she turned away a shot by Jessica Leffers in the first half that would have put the Gophers ahead had it gone in. Her two stops in the second half were on attempts by Lindsey Puopolo and Moriah Sipiczky.
