Goucher Women's Soccer Joins The Washington Spirit Alliance Partnership Program
BALTIMORE, Md. – The Goucher College women's soccer team has joined the Washington Spirit Alliance Partnership Program.
"We are so excited for this partnership with the Washington Spirit!," said women's soccer head coach Stephanie Ricketts. "We appreciate The Spirit's commitment to continuing to grow the Women's game and empowering future girls and women in soccer is something that we are very excited to be a part of the program."
The Partnership Program will generate more opportunities at the club and youth player level by connecting local youth programs with the professional coaches and players at the Washington Spirit. Through this program, partner members can interact with the players and coaches of the Spirit by attending question and answer sessions and coaching series with our technical staff and many other exclusive opportunities and events.
"Our players and coaching staff will have the opportunity to learn from and connect with the players and coaches of the Washington Spirit, in addition to other great opportunities, and we're very much looking forward to that," said Ricketts.
The Gophers are one of 10 women's soccer collegiate programs in the DMV that have joined the Alliance. The program also includes 34 clubs, two associations, and two leagues.
