Emma Yakim Garners Second Landmark Offensive Athlete of the Week Selection

TOWSON, Md. - Freshman Emma Yakim (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) of the Goucher College women's soccer team was named the Landmark Conference women's soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, it was announced on Monday afternoon.

Yakim scored three goals in two games last week.  She recorded a pair of goals in a 3-1 win at Catholic University on Wednesday evening, and followed that up with the game-winning goal with just over three minutes to play in a 2-1 win at Drew on Saturday.  The win over the Rangers was Goucher's first since the 2016 season.

On the season, Yakim leads the Gophers with six goals and an assist for 13 points.  Her six goals tie her for fifth in the conference, while her 13 points tie her for eighth.

Goucher, winners of two straight, returns to action Saturday, hosting Juniata at 1 pm at Beldon Field as part of Blue and Gold Weekend on the Goucher campus.
