Belle St. Jean, Emma Yakim Named Landmark All-Conference
LANDMARK CONFERENCE RELEASE
TOWSON, Md. - Sophomore Belle St. Jean (Martlon, N.J. / Cherokee) and freshman Emma Yakim (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) of the Goucher College women's soccer team were each Second Team selections as the Landmark Conference announced its women's soccer All-Conference teams Wednesday afternoon.
St. Jean, a defender, started all 15 games in which she appeared for the Gophers in her first season of collegiate soccer this fall. She helped the Gopher defense post four shutouts on the season and post its lowest goals-against average (1.50) since the 2016 season.
Yakim, a two-time Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Week, led Goucher in scoring with six goals and an assist for 13 points. She registered a hat trick in a win over Notre Dame (Md.) and also recorded two goals in a win at Catholic. Yakim appeared in 15 games and was in the starting lineup 12 times.
Goucher finished with its most wins (7) since 2017 and finished fifth in the Landmark Conference standings, its best finish since 2013.
