CAMDEN, N.J. - The Goucher College women's soccer team posted its sixth shutout of the season and used an early goal to down host Rutgers-Camden 1-0 Wednesday afternoon at Rutgers-Camden Community Park.
- Goucher (7-3) got on the board just past the 10-minute mark. An initial shot by Daniella Blitz (Robbinsville, N.J./Robbinsville) was saved by Rutgers-Camden (4-5-1) goalie Kayla McKeever, but Taty Jimenez (Modesto, Calif./Enochs) put in the rebound.
- The Scarlet Raptors had their first shot of the game in the 18th minute but it sailed high.
- Gopher goalie Marissa Spacht (Marlton, Pa./Garden Spot) made a save on a low shot by Emily Owens with just over 15 minutes left in the first stanza.
- Carly Stevens (Hampstead, Md./Hereford) had a shot saved by McKeever with 10 minutes left in the half.
- Each goalie made one more save the rest of the period.
- Rutgers-Camden had a pair of shots off target in the first 10 minutes of the second half.
- Spacht made a save on a low shot by Brianna Baer with 17 minutes remaining.
- Rutgers-Camden put a shot on goal off a restart with seven minutes to go but Spacht made a save on the low shot.
- With the win Goucher matches last season's win total.
- Goucher's win snapped a three-game win streak for Rutgers-Camden.
