St. Jean Tabbed United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region
UNITED SOCCER COACHES WOMEN'S SCHOLAR ALL-REGION TEAMS
TOWSON, Md. - Junior Belle St. Jean (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) of the Goucher College women's soccer team has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-South Region Team, it was announced on Wednesday.
In order to be eligible for United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region and All-America teams, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.40 cumulative GPA, play in a minimum of 75% of a team's contest and be an elite player as supported by playing honors (All-America, All-Region, minimum All-Conference). A student-athlete must also be at least a junior athletically.
St. Jean, a Psychology major, was selected to the United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-Region team and was also a Landmark Conference First Team All-Conference selection. St. Jean started all 18 games for a Gopher defense that posted nine shutouts and recorded a 1.00 team goals-against average, the program's lowest since 2012.
St. Jean was also one of six Gophers to garner College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors.
Goucher finished with its most victories since 2015 this past season and made its first-ever trip to the ECAC Championship.
