TOWSON, MD — Toni Boyd (Louisville,
KY/Ballard) touched first in three individual events this
evening in leading Goucher to its third win of the season, 115-85
over Notre Dame (Md.).
Boyd's three first-place performances were, in order, in the
1,000-yard freestyle, which she completed in 11:59.49, the 50 free
(:27.13) and the 500 free (5:53.21).
Bethany Natoli (Alexandria, VA/O'Connell) placed
first in both of the individual events in which she was entered for
Goucher: the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke. Her winning
times were 2:23.44 in the 200 IM and 1:05.48 in the 100 back.
The Gophers (3-5) produced the top performer in seven of the meet's
nine individual events, as well as the 200 medley relay. The other
Goucher swimmers who touched first in an event were Britt
Hogstrom (Killington, VT/Woodstock Union) in the 200 free
(2:09.84) and Nora Hemady (Timonium, MD/Carver
Center) in the 100 butterfly (1:13.67).
