Gophers Gain Second Victory, Sustain Fourth Setback

Gophers picked up a 55-38 victory over Juniata, but also suffered a
57-37 setback to Scranton.
The Royals (6-0, 2-0 Landmark) produced the first-place performer in five of the meet's nine individual events, as well as the top two entries in the 200-meter relay. The 100-meter breaststroke is the only event in which the Eagles (0-6, 0-2 Landmark) took first place.
Britt Hogstrom (Killington, Vt./Woodstock Union) of the Gophers was the winner in two events: the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyles. She completed the 50 free in :28.49 and the 100 free in 1:02.66.
The only other events in which Goucher (2-4, 1-3 Landmark) took first place were the 200 free where Lindsey Phillipson-Weiner (Merion, Pa./Lower Merion) turned in a time of 2:20.30, and the 200 free relay where the quartet of Phillipson-Weiner, Rachel Lyon (Fallston, Md./The John Carroll School), Abbey Wegman (Knoxville, Tenn./Berean Christian) and Hogstrom completed the event in a combined time of 2:03.99.
Phillipson-Weiner was also runnerup in the 100 backstroke (1:14.78).
