Three Goucher Relays Wind Up in Second Place

SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Entries from Goucher took second place in three of the nine events that were conducted today at the Schweikert Relays.
Kyanna Cadwallader (Gainesville, Fla./Gainesville), Nicole Craver (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove Area) and Alexis Regopoulos (Fitchburg, Mass./North Middlesex Regional) formed the entry that finished as the runner-up in the 3 x 100-yard breaststroke relay with its time of 3:55.02. Regopoulos and Cadwallader, along with Lizzy Hannifin (Denver, Colo./East) were also on the second-place entry in the 3 x 500-meter freestyle relay.
Goucher's other second-place performance came in the 500-yard crescendo free relay, an event in which the four entrants swim different distances. Cadwallader led off, covering the opening 50 yards, was followed, in order, by Craver (100 yards), Hannifin (150 yards) and Regopoulos (200 yards), and the combined time of the four swimmers was 5:07.78.
This was a non-scoring meet.
Up next for head coach Thomas Till's Gophers is a quadrangular meet at Frostburg State one week from today. The other two teams scheduled to compete are Hood and Stevenson.
