Landmark Reveals 2009 Spring All-Academic Team

MADISON, N.J. - The Landmark Conference today announced the names of the 32 student-athletes who make up the 2009 Spring Landmark All-Academic Team, which recognizes two male and two female athletes who have excelled athletically and academically from each of the eight Landmark institutions.

Greyhounds Handle Gophers, Defend Landmark Title

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Only Chloe Scott-Giry (Amagansett, N.Y./The Ross School) was victorious for Goucher in today's championship match of the 2009 Landmark Conference postseason tournament against Moravian. The Greyhounds were still able to repeat as Landmark champions by downing head coach Sally Baum's Gophers, 8-1.

Gophers Dig Hole, Suffer First Loss Since Fall

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Goucher put itself in a hole against Juniata today by coming out on top in only one doubles match. Things didn't get any better in singles play where the Gophers went 2-4 and, as a result, they were forced to accept their first loss in six matches this spring, a 6-3 setback to the Eagles, who took over sole possession of first place in the Landmark Conference with the win.
