TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College swept Juniata College 9-0 in the Landmark Conference women's tennis opener for both teams Sunday morning at the Schroedl Tennis Center.
- Goucher (3-8, 1-0 Landmark) dropped just three games as it swept doubles action over Juniata (1-8, 0-1)
- Sara Healy (Waterford, Va./Woodgrove) and Aaliyah Ybarra (Bastrop, Texas/Cedar Creek) won 8-0 at No. 3.
- Ceri McCaffrey (Ardsley, N.Y./Ardsley) and Eliza Abady (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y./The Masters School) were 8-2 winners at No. 1.
- Gigi Bellisario (Elmer, N.J./Woodstown) and Alex DiGiovanni (York, Pa./Dover) registered an 8-1 triumph at No. 2.
- Three of Goucher's singles wins came in straight sets.
- McCaffrey was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at No. 1 singles, while Abady prevailed 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3.
- Sarai Silveira (Houston, Texas / Harmony School of Discovery) won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.
