Anais Dhillon Named Landmark Player of the Year, Gophers Earn Four All-Conference Nods
TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College women's tennis senior Anais Dhillon (Cambridge, England/Hills Road Sixth Form College) was named the Landmark Conference women's tennis Player of the Year as the conference announced its annual major awards and All-Conference teams on Wednesday morning. The Gophers had a total of four All-Conference selections.
In addition to Player of the Year honors, Dhillon was First Team in both singles and doubles, sharing the doubles honor with partner Gigi Belisario (Elmer, N.J./Woodstown). Ceri McCaffrey (Ardsley, N.Y./Ardsley) and Eliza Abady (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y./The Masters School) were each Second Team selections in singles.
Dhillon is the third Goucher player to earn Landmark Women's Tennis Player of the Year, joining Ariel Lin in 2013 and Amanda Bercovici in 2014. Dhillon was also the conference's Rookie of the Year in 2019. This season, she finished 5-1 in Landmark Conference singles play at No. 1 and 8-4 overall, while teaming with Belisario to record a 4-2 conference mark and a 6-6 overall record at No. 1 doubles.
McCaffrey and Abady each earned their first All-Conference selections. McCaffrey finished 5-2 in conference singles play and 9-6 overall, while Abady went 6-1 against Landmark Conference competition in singles.
Goucher finished with a program-record six Landmark Conference wins in 2022, going 6-1 overall, and qualifying for the Landmark Conference semifinals.
