McCaffrey, Navarro, Abady Earn Landmark All-Conference Honors
TOWSON, Md. - Three members of the Goucher College women's tennis team were named to the Landmark Conference All-Conference teams announced Wednesday afternoon.
Senior Ceri McCaffrey (Ardsley, N.Y./Ardsley) was named to the Second Team in singles for the second time in her career. First year Natalia Navarro (Francisco Morazan, Honduras / Del Campo School) was also a Second Team selection in singles and doubles, while Eliza Abady (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y./The Masters School) earned Second Team doubles honors with Navarro.
McCaffrey earned Second Team All-Conference honors in singles for the second time in her career while she was honored in doubles for the first time. This season she finished 6-1 in conference play in singles playing primarily No. 2, while McCaffrey finished with an overall singles record of 7-8.
Navarro played primarily No. 1 singles for the Gophers and finished at 9-7 overall, including 3-3 in Landmark play. In doubles, she and Abady were 4-2 in the conference and 6-6 overall, splitting time between No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.
Abady earned All-Conference for the second time in her career as she was a Second Team choice in singles in 2022.
Goucher women's tennis qualified for the Landmark Conference semifinals for the second straight season. Its 10 wins are its most since the 2018-19 season, while the Gophers finish above .500 for the first time since 2012-13.
