Bio

Matilde Taborda-Almaguer joined the Goucher women's tennis staff in the spring of 2022.

A USPTA Elite Professional and Professional Tennis Registry certified tennis instructor, Taborda-Almaguer played four years of Division I tennis at University of Louisiana-Monroe, playing No. 1 singles and doubles all four years.  She later served as an assistant coach with the Warhawks program at her alma mater.

Taborda-Almaguer has worked at Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore since August, 2005 as a physical education instructor at both the middle and high school levels and also serves as the school's head tennis coach.  She also owns and operates MatchPoint Fitness, offering private and group tennis lessons.

A 2004 graduate of ULM with a degree in Health and Physical Education as well as a teaching certification, Taborda-Almaguer went on to earn her master's at McDaniel College in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Scientific Perspective.
