Gophers' Comeback Bid Against Profs Falls Short

Chalk, Quinn Combine for 25 Kills, 40 Digs in Five-Set Match

Set scores were 16-25, 25-13, 25-12, 19-25, 15-11.
Freshman outside hitter Megan Chalk (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) and senior opposite hitter Kasey Quinn (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) both reached double figures in kills for the Gophers (7-18), who split the two five-set matches they played earlier this season. Chalk finished with 14 kills and 16 digs; Quinn had 24 digs to go along with her 11 kills.
Senior setter Claire Sauvage-Mar (New Delhi, India/American Embassy School) recorded 30 assists.
The Profs (15-11) had not defeated Goucher in the sport of volleyball since 2003.
