TOWSON, Md. — Playing in front of the largest home crowd in the history of Goucher's volleyball program, head coach Michael Bossom's Gophers defeated Notre Dame (Md.), 3-0, tonight.
Set scores were 25-15, 25-14, 25-14.
Goucher's second victory of the season over their local rivals was witnessed by a crowd of 294 in the Decker Sports & Recreation Center, surpassing the program's former home attendance record of 285 established in a Capital Athletic Conference match against Gallaudet on Oct. 25, 2005.
Megan Chalk (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) supplied the Gophers (10-21) with a double-double of 11 kills and 11 digs.
Tori Rain (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) was credited with 27 assists.
The Gators (3-20) managed only seven kills the entire match and finished with a -.167 attack percentage.
