TOWSON, Md. — Goucher concludes the home portion of its schedule with a tri-match featuring Hood and Rosemont this Saturday, and the volleyball program will also be raising money for the American Cancer Society throughout the afternoon through the Coaches vs. Cancer program.
Those in attendance can support the initiative by purchasing a $1 Coaches vs. Cancer card to illustrate cancer's impact across the community. For $10, fans can dedicate a Luminaria bag in memory or in honor of a loved one affected by cancer.
Donations of all sizes (cash and checks only) will be accepted. A table will be set up in the lobby area of the Decker Sports & Recreation Center during the tri-match.
Everyone who makes a donation will have the opportunity to win a free t-shirt by participating in a serving competition between the second and third sets of Goucher's 3 p.m. match against Rosemont.
That match is the last contest scheduled for the afternoon. The day begins with an 11 a.m. tilt between Goucher and Hood, while Hood will take on Rosemont at 1 p.m.
