Volleyball Drops Two on the Road at Marymount

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Goucher College volleyball team lost back-to-back matches on the road Saturday afternoon despite another career-day for first-year Greta Coss (Bowie, Md.)
Shenandoah
The Gophers (3-10, Landmark 0-0) fell to Shenandoah 1-3: 13-25, 26-28, 25-19, and 20-25.
Coss exploded in the first match to tie her four-day-old career-high with 18 kills in the match to lead Goucher. Sophomore Sarah Weeden (Monmouth Junction, N.J.) followed he fellow hitter with 15 kills in the four-set match.
Sophomore Olivia Rhodes (St. Charles, Mizz.) set a new personal standard with 47 assists in the match. The total surpasses her previous career-high of 44 against Immaculata in 2016.
Weeden led the team with 18 digs while sophomore Virginia Estes (Homewood, Ala.) and Coss followed closely behind with 16 and 14 digs, respectively.
Marymount
The Saints of Marymount swept the Gophers, 25-13, 28-26, 25-21 on their home court.
Coss led Goucher in this match with 10 kills with Weeden nipping at her heels with nine kills.
Estes set the team-standard in digs with 16 against Marymount while Coss accumulated 11.
Rhoades finished the three-set match with 26 assists.
The Gophers are off until next Saturday when they travel to Scranton University for the opening Landmark Conference tri-match with Susquehanna and Scranton.
