Landmark Conference Freshman Friday: Get To Know Women's Volleyball/Women's Tennis Player Paige McSavaney
TOWSON, Md. - Get to know Paige McSavaney, a freshman at Goucher College in the Landmark's Freshman Friday series.
Why did you choose Goucher College?
I chose Goucher because of the small class sizes, required study abroad, academic rigor, and the opportunity to play both of the sports that I love.
How did you start playing volleyball and tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was about four years old because I grew up across the street from tennis courts and my mom is an incredible player. She put me in lessons from a young age and I fell in love and never looked back. I began playing volleyball in middle school and quickly realized I enjoyed playing, improving, and being on a team atmosphere.
Who is your role model and why?
My role model is my dad because he is a real-life superman. My dad is the smartest, most humble, loving person I've ever met. My whole life he has done nothing but support all my decisions, take me on new adventures, push himself to learn new things, come to all my sporting events, help me with anything, and been an incredible father and husband. I hope one day I can be as successful in life, love, and happiness as he is.
Describe your dream vacation.
My dream vacation is Santorini, Greece!
Do you have any hidden talents?
My hidden talent playing the piano, I've played for over 13 years!
What do you listen to on repeat?
I've been listening to the song "Always Afternoon" by Medasin!
What is your favorite holiday?
My favorite holiday is Christmas. Growing up in Colorado, I've always loved waking up to snow and hot chocolate!
