DeJaeger Named A Landmark Conference Women's Volleyball Athlete Of The Week
BALTIMORE, Md. – Tes DeJaeger (Norwalk, Conn./Brien McMahon), a member of the Goucher College women's volleyball team, has been named a Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week.
With the unprecedented cancellation of an official fall sports season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Landmark will recognize an athlete from each member institution in each conference-sponsored fall sport for the remainder of the academic year. Honorees were nominated for recognition by their respective institutions.
DeJaeger appeared in 50 matches and played in 169 sets in her two seasons on the women's volleyball court. She registered 1,143 assists and 458 digs as the team's setter, including notching a career-best 823 assists and 278 digs in her freshman year. DeJaeger notched a career-high 56 assists along with 16 digs against Hollins in her freshman year.
DeJaeger was also a member of the women's tennis team in her freshman year and helped the Blue and Gold to the Landmark Conference Semifinals. She won four singles matches and five doubles matches, including posting a 4-4 mark at No. 3 and 4 singles.
DeJaeger is completing her third year in Baltimore but will head to Columbia University to earn a civil engineering and physics degree as part of Goucher's 3+1 program.
The Landmark Conference also honored seniors from field hockey (Mickey Nelson), men's soccer (Matt Gilley), women's soccer (Alyssa Hodnik), and cross country (Isabel Srour) for the fall sports teams at Goucher.
