Elizabeth Bobo Named CSC Academic All-District
TOWSON, Md. - Senior Elizabeth Bobo (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley) of the Goucher College women's volleyball team was named to the 2022 College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team announced last week.
The 2022 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic AllAmerica® honorees will be announced in December.
In order to be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with at least one full academic year at their current institution. The student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or important reserve appearing in at least 50% of a team's contests.
Bobo, a Professional Writing major with a Political Science minor, appeared in 24 matches and 79 sets for the Gophers this season. She ranked fourth in kills with 98 with a .199 hitting percentage while also recording a team-high 43 blocks on the season. Over two seasons Bobo has totaled 206 kills, 75 blocks and 46 service aces.
Off the court, Bobo has served as the Goucher Student Government Association's Director of Student Organizations, a Writing Center tutor and an Arsht Presidential Diplomat.
